Page Macrae Engineering have been awarded a contract to construct two new storage tanks and associated piping works by Downer Major Projects for the Auckland Airport Fuel Terminal also known as JUHI.

We are working closely with Downers, who are the head contractor, to achieve the project completion date by mid 2013.

Construction of the two storage tanks is underway and terminal pipe work is currently being installed.

Page Macrae Engineering were contracted by New Zealand Oil Services Limited for the Z Energy Mount Maunganui Terminal upgrade of its slops system.  As the head contractor for this project we are overseeing the mechanical, electrical and civil works.  

The project requires the construction and installation of a new 120,000L slops tank replacing existing redundant tankage on site. The terminal is still LIVE so planning is critical to ensure there are no disruptions to site operations.  

The slops system will also be upgraded to improve functionality and move towards a closed system for slops handling at the terminal.  

We were awarded the contract for the fabrication and installation of the new 10 million litre fuel tank at Gull's Mount Maunganui storage terminal.

Construction of the 10 million litre tank for Terminals NZ is nearing completion with the official tank opening on the 19th April 2013.

We were the head mechanical contractor for Downer EDI’s recent Mount Maunganui Bitumen Plant upgrade. The project took place over seven months and timing was critical as Downer needed to take delivery of raw materials from offshore in time to meet production requirements for the new roading season. Construction of six new API 650 Storage tanks and pipe spooling for thermal heating and product was carried out in our Mount workshops prior to the plant being shut down.

The Project involved demolition of the existing facility so that installation of tanks, mechanical equipment and piping could take place; a new emulsion plant was also installed by us as part of the project. Major refurbishment of the existing tanks on site was also undertaken so that they could meet current code compliance. The Project was completed on time and under budget with zero lost time or medically treated injuries.

Fulton Hogan contracted us to construct an 11,000m³ API 650 Storage Tank and carry out a full plant upgrade for their Mount Maunganui bitumen plant. Fulton Hogan made a corporate decision to upgrade the plant to meet current  environmental and health and safety standards which involved demolition of much of the existing plant and installation of new plant and equipment. We delivered the construction of the storage tank and the plant upgrade on a tight time frame so that Fulton Hogan could meet its obligations to their customers on time.

The project involved construction and erection of several pipe bridges, replacement of thermal oil and product pipe work and installation of mechanical equipment associated with the plant. Due to its prominent position on Mount Maunganui’s main industrial route from the Port of Tauranga this will remain one of our iconic  projects.

We were the head contrator for BP Oil New Zealand Ltd for the Slops System upgrade at their Napier Terminal. This involved the fabrication and installation of new fire system and product piping, fabrication and installation of a new 200,000 litre Slops Tank, refurbishment of the existing Petroleum Storage Tanks and carrying out of associated civil works.
